Anti-Big Brother Law

Wall Township Public Schools provides students with electronic devices such as tablets and other mobile devices.  These devices may have the ability to record or collect information on the student’s activity or use of the device.  This is especially true of equipment that includes a camera, Global Positioning System, or other feature capable of recording or collecting information on the student’s activity or use of the device.

Wall Township Public Schools will not use any of these capabilities in a manner that would violate the privacy rights of the student or any individual residing with the student.  This requirement is mandated by the Anti-Big Brother Act, signed by Gov. Chris Christie in April, 2013, which is intended to support the privacy rights of students.
