The Wall Township Public Schools Observatory will be open and online on clear nights. To access the Observatory, first request a username and password using the "Register" link under "Account Registration". After receiving your credentials, click on "Observatory Control Website" under "Observatory Control" to log on. If the observatory is online, the status will show "Ready" under the "Observatory" column, and the shutter will display "Open". Follow the steps in the "Quick Start Guide", available under the "Training & Documentation" section, to acquire your first image.
A live demonstration site is available for self-guided training under "Training & Documentation". The demonstration site is very similar to the Wall Observatory site, and can be used to become familiar with the various links and commands available for observatory control. To register for a demonstration site account, click on the "Live Demonstration Site Registration" link under "Training & Documentation". Once you have received your demonstration site credentials, click on the "Live Demonstration Site" link under "Training & Documentation" to access the demo site for training.
The "Observing Preparation & Research" section contains links to the "Tonight's Sky" website, as well as the Messier Catalog. Additional resources that may be used for successful observatory use will be added over time.
