🎓8th Grade Graduation Speech Information🎓

Hello 8th Grade Parents!

Can you believe there are only 6 WEEKS left of school?!?  You will be receiving many emails from me over the next few weeks so you can stay up to date with the many end of year activities for your 8th grade son or daughter.  Today’s email is about GRADUATION SPEECHES.

Each year we have 3 speeches  during the ceremony that are given by our graduates.  In order to be considered for this role, your child will need to write a speech surrounding this year’s theme, Acceptance. If your child submits a speech that meets the criteria that was given to our 8th grade students, (click here for the letter that was shared with the students) he/she will be scheduled a time to “audition” his/her speech on 5/10/17 from 1-3PM.  They will present the speech to a panel of teachers and administrators.

Students who are selected will then meet with Mrs. Embon to “tweak” the speech for the specific role that is awarded to them.

Students who are not selected, may be offered another role in the graduation ceremony.

Speeches that wish to be considered must be submitted by 5/8 at 9AM. Thanks!
