Congratulations to 7th Grade student, Mia Rizzi, who entered the DAR (Daughter’s of the American Revolution) History Essay Contest this season. This year, the topic was “Celebrate a Century: America’s National Parks. Mia was awarded an Honorable Mention for her essay, “A Park Less Traveled: The Dry Tortugas, Florida.”There were 669 essays submissions across the grades of 5-8 with 14 public, private and home-schooling programs represented.
